Privacy Policy for RC Discharger
Last updated: August 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RC Discharger (“RC Discharger,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information through:
- the RC Discharger website at https://www.rcdischarger.com/;
- RC Discharger: LiPo Benchmark, also known as RC Discharger Battery Benchmark, on Android and other supported platforms; and
- related customer support, account, ordering, and cloud-backup services.
RC Discharger is the developer identified on the app’s Google Play listing. By using our website or application, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information collected through the application
Depending on the features you use, the RC Discharger Battery Benchmark application may collect or process the following information:
- Account information: Your email address, account identifier, authentication information, and information necessary to confirm that you are authorized to use the application.
- Battery information: Battery names, identification numbers, capacities, configurations, chemistry, notes, and other battery-profile information you enter.
- Benchmark and test information: Test settings, voltage, current, capacity, temperature, internal resistance, discharge curves, timestamps, test duration, results, comparisons, and related records produced while using the application.
- Cloud-backup information: Battery profiles, settings, and test results that are synchronized with or backed up to our cloud systems so that records can be restored and accessed through your account.
- Device and technical information: Device type, operating-system version, application version, IP address, app or device identifiers, authentication events, server logs, and technical information needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
- Push-notification information: A notification token, device or app identifier, notification preferences, and related technical information required to deliver push notifications.
- Support communications: Information you provide when contacting us, including your email address, message, screenshots, diagnostic details, and any files you voluntarily submit.
Authentication credentials are handled through secured authentication systems. We do not use passwords for purposes unrelated to signing in, securing accounts, or providing requested services.
Local and cloud storage
The application stores certain information locally on your device and also synchronizes eligible account, battery, and test information with cloud systems. Local storage supports app operation and offline or faster access. Cloud storage provides automatic backup, synchronization, restoration, and access to saved records.
Removing the application or clearing its local data may remove information stored on that device, but it does not automatically delete information already backed up to your account in the cloud. To delete cloud-stored account information, follow the account-deletion process described below.
How application information is used
We use application information to:
- create, authenticate, secure, and maintain user accounts;
- provide battery testing, automatic archiving, comparison, cycling, and break-in features;
- save, synchronize, restore, and display battery profiles and test results;
- calculate and present battery-performance measurements;
- deliver requested service messages and push notifications;
- provide customer support and troubleshoot technical problems;
- protect the application, our systems, and users from fraud, abuse, or unauthorized access;
- maintain and improve reliability, compatibility, and performance; and
- comply with applicable legal obligations.
Advertising and in-app purchases
The Android version currently being prepared for Google Play does not include third-party advertising or Google Play in-app purchases.
If advertising or a paid option to remove advertising is introduced later, we will update this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data safety information before the new data practices become active. We will also provide any notices or consent choices required by applicable law.
Information collected through the website
When you visit our website, create an account, place an order, subscribe to communications, or contact us, we may collect:
- your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, shipping address, and account information;
- order, transaction, warranty, shipping, return, and customer-support information;
- information you submit through forms, product reviews, uploads, or support requests;
- IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referring page, date and time of access, and website logs; and
- cookie and similar technology information used for essential website functions, preferences, security, and performance.
Payment information is handled primarily by the payment provider selected during checkout. RC Discharger does not intentionally store complete payment-card numbers or card security codes on its own systems.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate shopping-cart and account features, remember preferences, protect the website, process orders, and understand basic website performance.
You can control cookies through your browser or any consent controls displayed on our website. Disabling essential cookies may prevent certain account, checkout, or website features from working correctly.
Service providers and information sharing
We may provide limited information to service providers that help us operate the website and application. These providers may include:
- authentication and account-service providers;
- cloud hosting, database, synchronization, and backup providers;
- push-notification delivery providers;
- website hosting, security, and technical-support providers;
- e-commerce, payment-processing, shipping, and order-fulfillment providers; and
- professional advisers or authorities when disclosure is legally required.
These providers may process information only as necessary to perform services for us, protect their systems, comply with law, or fulfill the transaction requested by the user.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with unrelated third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our terms, investigate fraud or security incidents, protect users or the public, or respond to a valid legal request. Information may also be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to appropriate protections.
Data security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. Off-device communications are protected using encrypted connections such as HTTPS/TLS where applicable. Access to cloud-stored information is limited according to operational need.
No internet transmission, application, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should notify us if they believe an account has been accessed without authorization.
Data retention
We retain account information and cloud-backed battery and test records while an account remains active or for as long as necessary to provide the requested service.
We retain other information according to the following criteria:
- Local application data remains on the device until it is deleted through the application, the app’s storage is cleared, or the application is removed.
- Cloud-backed battery profiles and test records remain available until deleted by the user where that feature is available, or until the associated account or data is deleted following a verified request.
- Support communications are retained as needed to resolve the request, document the solution, and protect against repeated abuse.
- Security and technical logs are retained for a limited period appropriate for troubleshooting, system security, and fraud prevention.
- Order and transaction records may be retained for the period required by tax, accounting, warranty, fraud-prevention, and other applicable laws.
- Backup copies may remain until they are overwritten or deleted through our normal backup cycle.
We may retain limited information after a deletion request when required for legal compliance, transaction records, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or system security. Any retained information will remain limited to those purposes.
Account and data deletion
You may request deletion of your RC Discharger Battery Benchmark account and its associated cloud-stored data.
To submit a deletion request, visit our RC Discharger contact and support page. Use the subject or message heading “Delete my RC Discharger app account” and provide the email address associated with the account.
We may take reasonable steps to verify that the requester controls the account. After verification, we will delete the account and associated cloud-stored battery profiles and test results, except for information we are legally required or permitted to retain.
Deleting cloud information does not automatically remove information stored locally on every device. Local information can be removed by using available deletion controls, clearing the application’s storage, or uninstalling the application.
Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of certain personal information. You may also be able to object to or restrict certain processing.
To make a privacy request, contact us using the method provided below. We may verify your identity before processing a request and may retain information when required or permitted by law.
You can control push notifications through the application’s settings, when available, or through your Android device settings.
Children’s privacy
Our website and application are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 submitted personal information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
A parent or legal guardian who believes a child provided information should contact us through our support page.
International processing
RC Discharger operates from the United States. Information may be processed or stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Privacy protections in those countries may differ from those in your country.
