The Danger: Why You Must Stop Now

The “Soft Reset” issue is the final warning sign before hardware failure. Without the missing C29 capacitor, the board cannot handle power spikes during the transition in dual cycling.

REQUIRED SETTING: Set a 1-minute delay in Cycle Mode. This delay helps prevent the immediate power surge that causes the “soft reset” and is the only way to help avoid blowing your iCharger while it is in this vulnerable state.

If you own a 456DUO, 458DUO, or 4512DUO, do not take a chance:

1. Disconnect all power and open the charger case.
2. Locate the C29 slot on the PCB.
